Don’t buy the Galaxy Nexus. Dropped calls, terrible reception. 4g is not consistant. This is my second replacement. Phone reboots in the middle of a call.

Are you still not having any phoce call problems in Minneapolis? I live and work in SW MPLS and with most of my calls >2 min my mic seems to cut out. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said, “can you hear me now?” Trying to find out if it’s the network here with all GNs, or just my phone. Thanks.

Coming from a bb bold, I am truly impressed with my new galaxy nexus. Its really my first experience with android and it is very intuititive and responsive. Lovin’ this thing so far. The screen is anazing and unlike many reviews I had read, it has a high quality feel to it. I dont mind thats its a plastic chassis, doesnt feel cheap in anyway.

You can definitely play grand theft auto iii on it. just picked up the my nexus this past thursday and have been playing it pretty frequently.

Chris, there’s a minor mistake in the camera app section of your video review. “Store location” is a toggle for embedding GPS coordinates in the image. It doesn’t refer to where the images are stored on the device.

From what I understand you can take the Amazon price to Best Buy and have them match the price. I also read from an Amazon reviewer that Best Buy gave them the Verizon $50 discount for upgrade too.

Dude, you would have saved more money taking half off the 49.99 extended battery. You saved about $20 with your 20% discount but would have saved $25 if you’d just gotten the battery for half off.

Galaxy Nexus – you’ll get to keep all the apps you’re used to and the Droid RAZR would me more of a jump in its user interface than the Galaxy Nexus is. Your iMac shouldn’t have anything to do with your decision. And no, there’s no bigtime release that trumps these coming out soon, Galaxy Nexus should be the end of it for the rest of 2011 — January might be a different story.

Well, I’d say if you want the most solid, frequently updated, unaldalterated version of Android 4.0 I’d go with the Galaxy Nexus. Its a sweet device. The only thing sub-par is the camera, and honestly, if your serious about good photos, you’ll have a hand held camera on you anyway. I still posted pictures from my BB a couple of months ago and at 3.2 MP it was fine for a phone camera.

Personally, I don’t like LTE phones I can’t change the battery on, and I’m not to blown away by the ability to use a micro SD considering the Nexus has 32 gigs, which is more than enough for almost any user. I personally don’t really like how the RAZR felt in hand when I looked at it. It is rather sharp, and a little awkward. That and I’ve found moto-blur (Motorola’s android skin) to be annoying and sluggish at times, though it may have improved.

If you want a phone that works great, that you can occasionally browse on, and that has world capabilities, then the iPhone is for you. Personally, The 4″s” is a little meh, and I’d be perfectly fine with the original 4. The snapier processor is negligible (the 4 ran smooth enough already) the camera is great, but if I want good pics I’ll take something with better zoom and light options, and Siri is a gimmick that I’ve seen only a minority of my friends who bought the device still use. That said, if your going to use it for web-browsing, navigation and/or movie/show watching, a device with a larger screen is MUCH better. Most people who say they prefer the smaller 3.5″ screen have never had a powerful device with a 4+” screen. It is beautiful to behold, and makes reading things online 10x easier. At 720p, you can’t really lose.

Anyway, they are all great devices, and you won’t be disappointed with any of them. Have fun!

It really depends on what you want the device to do. My favorite HTC device on Verizon is indeed the Rezound, while my favorite Samsung device on Verizon is the Galaxy Nexus.

I just want to allay some battery fears. I went ahead and bought the extended battery the day I got the phone, $25 and it adds no bulk dont worry, and I can report amazing battery life. Im looking at my battery info right now and I’m at 50% after 11hrs. This is with voice calls, browsing, some voxer, and even a tiny bit of gta iii which now does work on the gn. However, I have had 4g off most of the day as i haven’t made any significant downloads. wouldn’t stress battery life so hard in the review, ive found it to be quite different, but maybe ive just been lucky/super cautious
