It's no bigger than most other current high end android phones, though I can see how someone with small hands would find it too big for comfortable use. I have one and my wife has an iPhone 4s. Both phones are very nice, but personally I couldn't imagine going back to a screen the size of the iphone's. Personally I love how Samsung has pushed the screen toward the edge of the phone and into the area where capacitive buttons would normally be. This allows for a large screen in a case that is as big as that of other phones in this class - and boy, what a screen it is.

I tested the LTE version of the GN last night and compared a standard one against one with Verizon's extended Battery (which was $50 and they claimed doubles the battery life of the phone). the extended Battery required a new back to accommodate it. The new back is virtually flat and once on, the only way I could tell there was an extended battery was to compare that phone against the standard one. You can tell because the lower speaker bulge becomes slightly shallower and the camera bulge becomes almost flat.

The battery itself is a Samsung product and like the original, also has the NFC antenna on it (no you can't use an aftermarket battery if you want to be able to use NFC).

I don't know if Verizon's claim of doubling the battery life is accurate, but the phone accomodates the extended battery without affecting it's design or dimensions. I would seriously consider it, though at this price, I might wait for a sale or until the life of the standard one becomes unacceptable.
