Carriers can warn subscribers,in a general way, ahead of time, but the most useful tool may be some sort of real-time data usage meter.And, as far as I can tell, such a thing does not exist.All data plans are completely independent of voice airtime, separate items.Verizon is now deliberately crippling the connectivity of smart phones that are on the Alltel plan instead of the more expensive Verizon plan.
