Verizon DROID PRO and 1.2GHz DROID 2 Global up for order

Not one but two Motorola DROID smartphones on offer at Verizon, as the DROID PRO goes up for pre-order as promised yesterday, alongside sales kicking off of the DROID 2 Global. The DROID PRO is Motorola's BlackBerry-esque candybar QWERTY, and is priced at $179.99 with a new agreement, while the DROID 2 Global is $199.99 with a new agreement.

Each has not only EVDO Rev.A for Verizon's network in the US, but UMTS/WCDMA voice and data for use abroad. The DROID PRO has a 1GHz processor, while the DROID 2 Global upgrades that to a 1.2GHz chip; each has a 5-megapixel camera, runs Android 2.2 Froyo and has WiFi b/g/n.

The DROID 2 Global gets a 3.7-inch touchscreen; the DROID PRO scales that down to 3.1-inches thanks to the QWERTY. Deliveries of the latter are expected to begin on November 18
