Monopoly? How? Verizon hasn’t really made any anti-competitive moves. Any body could have bid for the consortium’s spectrum if they had the resources. Verizon has organically grown through fair M&A’s and reinvests in its own network. This is part of how you reinvest in your own network. AT&T wanted to buy T-Mobile’s SUBSCRIBERS and become the only major GSM operator in the US. In the spirit of you comment, THAT is monopolistic. Verizon is buying spectrum to increase its ability to produce a stable connection. It isn’t buying any pre-existing marketshare. You can’t put the cart before the horse. AT&T ought to take notes.

Funny how Verizon says they cant afford to pay their employees “Health Care”? But they continue to drop BILLIONS like its nothing? Customers are about to get blasted from every angle, now when you call in for help it will be “were sorry, you must call these people to get help, over and over and over again!”
