I think Verizon was doing pretty good before the I*hone got there! And since it has things has gotten not for the better! Data Hogs ooops I mean I*hone users on your network means NO MORE UNLIMITED plans…….besides here is my question to you juice drinkers…..Would you benefit more through innovative competition or sue the competition and get only what apple says is innovationm, like the Steve Jobs comment about flash?

The Apple juice is quite good. You should have some and stop complaining about people who like to drink Apple juice. It’s good for you. If you don’t like Apple, or innovative electronics, you can go back and used one of those brick phones.

10 years from now, you’ll look at a Blackberry and say, “I can’t believe we used to push physical buttons on a phone.”

The point is this. The reason why there are Apple fans, is because their products are game changers, and are ahead of the curve. They are market makers, and that puts them in a position to get copied a lot. It’s part of their history, dating all the way back to the Apple II computer, which everyone copied.

I never made a case about weather the patents were acquired or produced in-house. So your point is taken, but kinda of a week rebuttle. I’m really not sure if the patents were acquired or not, and I’m not going to fact check you because that is beside the point. The main point is that Apple holds those patents and copyrights that contribute to the design and functionality of their products.

Apple does not have a phone monopoly. As a matter of fact, there are more Android based phones than iPhones. So, your point is sorta moot.

I don’t cheer for any monopoly, unless it is patented or copyrighted. And Samsung violated those copyrights. Now I do believe the patent system needs a revamp, but a child can see who’s the copycat in the smartphone market, and it’s not Apple. Apple invented the modern smartphone market we have today.

If I were to chose a monopoly, I would chose Apple vs. a blood sucking telecom corporation, such as Verizon, AT&T or any. These companies horrendously charge for things that we used be able to get for free or not even think about.

The Only benefit these companies have is that they provide jobs to a lot of people, which explains why no one speaks out about how ridiculously insane it is for them to charge customers horrendous fees, even though everyone wants to say it.

I bet a quarter of the people on this blog post is hired by or has a job because of the telecom corprations.

I just got a $829,99 iPad2 for only $103,37 and my mom got a $1499,99 HDTV for only $251,92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ (HDTV) to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78,24 for. I use BidsOut. c Óm

It is based on the Mach kernel and as well as FreeBSD’s and NetBSD’s implementation of Unix.

Verizon CEO is drinking too much, I bet that Verizon gets more profit from the hot selling iPhone 4 than selling all Android phones together, but hey, LTE is the future and Verizon in one hand is supporting its rival AT&T to bring more competence and possibly grabs some LTE clients away from Verizon, while in the other hand Verizon is hitting Apple on the back pretending that a preliminary injunction against a convicted copyist (Samsung) is healthier for the customers… If I were Tim Cook, I will make the iPhone 5 to stop working for Verizon on launch, just to see which company is the driving force in the smartphone business.

Agreed the fanboyism needs to stop. Without a doubt samsung ripped off some iphone aesthetics (ie samsung fascinate). Verizon invested heavily in the LTE network and if samsung fails their precious lte fails. Verizon even went as far as to back Att in the acquisition of tmobile! Sounds like they only care about this 4g network taking off to protect investment. Everyone “borrows” from new ideas and break throughs. This ends up paving the way for innovation to be stumbled upon.

That doesn’t make much sense because both the apple i-OS and Android are both based upon different versions of a linux kernel. Which is why android devices without root access are no more prone to viruses than apple or a desktop distribution of linux like Ubuntu.

actually the 4 core patents at dispute were acquisitions made by apple not in house designed. You really need to get your facts straight. in addition the innovations were mostly made by palm devices i.e scrolling touch sensitive screen.

I think the majority of apple users don’t understand what you refer to, don’t follow tech news, and don’t hate Google nor Microsoft. They are busy folks who buy something they think looks good and works well for them. They don’t know the history of apple.. likely never even watched pirates of silicon valley..

None of this nonsensical fanboyism ever touches any part of their psyche… They just buy tech for what it does and how well it works is the only determining factor for them.
