Honestly, these by far beat any headphones out there in this range. You'll find nice sounding headphones (ATH, Grado, etc) but you won't find one with great looks, strong materials, or strong bass like this one. Speaking of bass, these are bass heavy, and I like that. But not overpowering like the Beats brand. These by far blow away any headphones in the market. If you like these headphones, get them. You won't be disappointed. Just a note: these headphones require a long burn in time for them to really start sounding amazing. Right out of the box they'll sound great, but not as good as after you burn them in. A long burn in is required.

Can someone help me? I love music, but I'm not a big expert on headphones. I had a set of
Denon AHD350 headphones, but I've worn them out. They were great headphones. I'm looking at possibly buying the Crossfade LP2. What makes the sound on these different from other headphones? Do they have a lot of bass? I heard that the wires are made from kevlar. Does this mean that they won't get tangled up? I need a set of phones which will give me a great sound.
Thanks.

I've had mine since November and these are the best headphones I've ever owned. The quality is far superior to anything out there. I've had a set of Bose Quiet Comfort headphones, while they were nice, they didn't last me six months before breaking apart due to cheap plastic construction. I was seriously considering the Beats by Dre, but there were too many reviews that indicated that they were also made of cheap materials that wore out too soon. But the Crossfade LP2s are built to last, made of METAL components, not plastic. I take that back, there is one small bit of plastic on the ends of the inside of the headband that indicate the left and right sides. If you are on the fence, don't delay, buy these. $200 is a high price, but you get what you pay for with these, unlike the overpriced Beats and Bose Quiet Comforts, which look good and have the marketing to thank for their sales. If you want a true audio experience that is second to none and will make you a believer, go with the V-Moda Crossfade LP2s.

I have the Bose AE2i and the crossfade LP's and i can honestly say that these are way better. I like to listen to my music loud, and comparing these on loudest to the bose, theres just no comparison. Bose has less bass, distortion on hi volume, and by the way i strictly listen to flacs. so keep your AE2i with the lame drawstring bag (crossfades come with exoskeleton case), crappy detachable cable that is bound to break (crossfades got kevlar woven cables=] and basically the plastic headphones (crossfades are almost all metal!!! YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH THESE BAD ASS HEADPHONES!!!!
