Oh, how I love retro things, especially modern gadgets with a vintage appeal. That’s why this USB Retro Microphone really appealed to me for both its look and features.

This USB-powered microphone takes the shape of those old-time radio microphones. Can’t you just hear the sounds of a radio drama unfolding? I picture guys hitting metal sheets to make lightning sounds and a woman in the corner screaming. Maybe that’s just me.

Anyway, the USB Retro Microphone is more than just a pretty package, however. It also features a built-in audio decode chipset, a microphone that supports MSN, AOL, iChat, Skype and more, a volume switch and a mute button. It weighs in at 151 grams and measures approximately 88mm x 88mm x 210mm. This device works with Windows 2000 through Vista and will be available in October from USB Brando for $32.
