If you’re excited about the Rock Band announcement, but can’t contain your inner musician until Christmas, you might want to think about getting yourself a USB roll up drum set to tide you over.

It is basically a mat with 6 different spots to hit that will produce a variety of sounds. The unit plugs in via USB (obviously) and has software to help you practice and record your own music.

You’ll be able to get these starting at the end of the month for $30. But be quick, if you don’t get your hands on one the first time around, you’ll have to wait until August and pay $45 for one.
