I was just thinking to myself. "Boy, wouldn't this world be a better place if we only had government mandated black boxes in all our vehicles."

The police are completely ignorant of techniques to determine angle and velocity by skid marks, impact damage, and quantity and direction of debris thrown. They go to a crash site and say, "Gee, I dunno. Whatayathink happened?" People are never held accountable for the accidents they cause. We need a black box to make this world a better place.

It's not like the automobile industry already has headaches trying to reach the CAFE standards of MPG while keeping safety up and cost down. They need the additional cost of engineering and installing mandated black boxes in the cars too. The world will be better a better place when that happens.

This doesn't raise the hackles on the back of my neck because the federal government shows no interest in purposefully raising costs of gasoline discourage use and push "green energy" to "save the planet". If our location (mileage) can be tracked, I'm sure there won't be an additional tax imposed to "offset driving habits" until people don't move around much. Even so, it will just make this world a better place.

When rounding up cattle to take them to the auction or the slaughterhouse, it's so much easier if you can restrict their movements. Restrict the choices and options they have and before you know it, they'll actually RUN the direction you want them to go. Mandates and restrictions make it easy to control the cattle.

This is what a police state looks like. Next step: Mandatory tattooed barcodes or ID implants? Track every citizen's every movement in the name of security? The laws do not have enough privacy protection to keep letting the government strip our 1st and 4th amendment rights, one bill at a time. Big Brother is watching. I didn't think it would be that bad when I read 1984 but we are on the fast track to the "Thought Police".
