1 GB RAM is a bit low for Vista. I finally managed to downgrade it to Windows XP... much better than before.
I would want the audio port somewhere at the back side, a little bigger Touchpad having scroll feature will be great. It will be nice to have s-video port too.

If you're wanting to disable software from starting up, go to run and type "msconfig." There you can go over to the startup tab and uncheck any software that you don't want to start.

Be careful when you use this. Only uncheck software that you *know* you don't want to start upon boot. If you don't know what it is, leave it checked until you find out. Otherwise you can end up disabling something that is vital to the OS.

Hey, I picked up a Satellite U205-S5057 earlier this year too. I'm curious to see what you think about the Toshiba Flashcards software and also to see if you experience any weird flickering of the screen randomly. It acts like a UAC flicker, but I've turned off UAC. I'm almost sure it's software based, but haven't narrowed it down yet.
