Mustachioed JK over at jkontherun (voted “Surprisingly Orange Site” for the fourth year in a row) has been beta testing Ilium InScribe, alternative text input software for UMPCs and Tablet PCs.  Rather than the translucent QWERTY cleavage of DialKeys, InScribe overlays a full-screen keyboard that responds to swiping and pausing of a stylus (or slender digit).

With adjustable transparency and handy “tiny” button (which shrinks the interface down to a eenie-weenie button), it’s an interesting alternative and worth waiting for.  Until release, however, you’ll have to be happy with JK’s review.  Grow some patience, kids
