Ultrasone unveils high-end Edition 8 headphones

Ultrasone makes a slew of high-end headphones and earphones for consumers and professionals musicians alike. The headphones could be described as audiophile grade for sure by most users. The company has unveiled its latest set called the Edition 8 Palladium.

The headphones have an impedance of 30 ohms and a frequency range of 6-42000 Hz. The drivers are a pair of 40mm tri-brass-tube titanium plated mylar units. The sound pressure level is 96dB and the weight of the headphones minus the cord is 260g.

The cord itself is 1.2-meters long and comes with a 4-meter extension cable and adapters to allow the headphones to work with 3.5mm devices and larger audio ports as well. Those specs certainly sound good, now for one that doesn't. The Edition 8 Palladium headphones sell for $1699.
