I'd definitely buy this. I've gone through a number of Android handsets - was very disappointed with the Android experience (mainly due to stuttering/laginess caused by an ill designed rendering pipeline and the use of a JVM tier - see 'Android Issue 6914' for details of legacy Android lag).

I currently use a Nokia N9 as my daily driver. Even with it's PowerVR SGX530 GPU from 2007, it's still super responsive and smooth (although it does lag out when under load sometimes - but this is the exception rather than the rule).I love Ubuntu, can't wait for Ubuntu mobiles and tablets.

Yeah pretty sure this info is a load of crap based off nothing. Ubuntu with Android is the only phone related project they are working on it would be a waste of time and resources to work on a completely new phone OS when Android already has over 60% market share.
