Uber Ice Cream delivery: no music, only tasty treats

This isn't the first time Uber vehicles have ever delivered ice cream. It is the first time Uber Denver specifically planned out an elaborate way to bring the entire city their fix on a 90-degree day in both Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. While you'd expect that having ice cream hand-delivered to wherever you happen to be in a city wouldn't be cheap, this delivery comes at a mint. Uber is delivering "Little Man Ice Cream" only, a kind of hand-made ice cream that costs $20 per 4-ounce serving.

Uber is delivering ice cream around the world today in over 200 cities. This ice cream event only lasts one day. If you've got an Uber service in your city, you might want to look into it. In Denver, Uber is all about Little Man Ice Cream. In your city it could be something completely different.

Little Man Ice Cream is a gourmet ice cream shop, making flavors like Mint Chocolate Chip, Salted Oreo, and the ever-odd "Space Junkie."

Space Junkie consists of raspberry ice cream, brownies, and marshmallow swirl.

According to the Denver Post, Uber utilizes a local ETUK rental service to make this ice cream delivery service as inexpensive for them to run as possible.

Ice cream can only be ordered with the Uber app, and ETUKs are not giving rides to people. This is an ice cream only affair.

So you wont hear a happy tune when the Uber car (or ETUK) comes rolling up, and you wont be able to choose from an assortment of bomb pops and slightly deformed Ninja Turtle faces – but you will more than likely be getting some of the best ice cream in the city.
