Since I got Rock Band back in November of last year, I’ve only played Guitar Hero III a few times. It’s not that GH III isn’t a good game (it is, really) it’s just that after playing the same songs over and over, you kind of want something new to play. Rock Band has been more than accommodating with their weekly DLC releases. However we’ve just gotten word  that for the second straight week there will be new Guitar Hero III DLC.

Deftones_saturday_night_wrist

Last week we saw a threesome of No Doubt tracks which was good to see. Now they are releasing their “Modern Metal Track Pack” which features Hole in the Earth from the Deftones, Almost Easy from Avenged Sevenfold and The Arsonist by Thrice. The three-pack will run you 500 Microsoft Points ($6.25)

If you’re not down with paying for DLC, don’t worry, you’ll have the opportunity to download three tracks from Dropkick Murphys for free. Famous for Nothing, (F)lannigan’s Ball and Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya are set to be release mid-month in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
