Wouldn’t it be nice if electricity were free? Well, that’s precisely what these two men from Australian thought. In fact, they’ve whipped up a perpetual motion machine that could save you money and let you produce your own energy. Maybe.

perpetual motion machine

The machine uses the forces of magnetic attraction and repulsion to get it going. Once motion is in action, it’s perpetual, and can be used to create an “infinite” amount of electricity. Call me a skeptic, but that sounds incredibly difficult, if you ask me.

The problem here is that it’s highly unlikely that you could produce more electricity than what you actually use to get the machine running. Interesting nonetheless. However, these two guys will be selling the machines sometime next year for about $5,000 a piece. Sounds more like sci fi than science, but what do I know?

This is a scam, these things pop up every few years and people love it since it perfectly answers a need everyone wants right now – clean, free, abundant energy. Google “history of perpetual motion machines” the wikipedia entry is informative and the amount of money loss to these frauds is depressing

    hoax.
For those who haven’t noticed, this video is from February. How could something revolutionary like this just pass without anyone knowing it untill now?
