Twitter For BlackBerry Updated With Geotagging And Push Mentions

The Twitter app for BlackBerry has been updated to version 1.1 in the Beta Zone. This new version of Twitter for BlackBerry will have geotagging capabilities, push mentions, topic autocomplete, and chat-style messaging.

The geotagging capability is nice, but can be easily turned off for those who don't want everyone to know where they're tweeting from. The push mentions will alert you when you've been mentioned on Twitter much like alerts you're used to getting for direct messages. And direct messages are now called chat-style messages with a new design and the messages are now threaded.

There is also an autocomplete function that will give you a list of keywords based on what you've used before on hashtagged words in Tweets, Retweets, or searched for in Popular Topics or Facebook. For touchscreen BlackBerries you can now update your screen simply by pulling downwards on the stream.
