The fun side of the cellphone is that glossy, upgrading “guess what I’ve got the latest model” joy of a new toy. The not-so-fun side is the increasing number of scams that involve conning paranoid SMS users into visiting Trojan-filled websites.
The average SlashGear visitor might think themselves tech-wise enough to avoid getting caught up in this sort of phishing, but can you say the same of your parents or your less tech-savvy friends? Spread the word, people; unscrupulous people will use whatever means they can to separate the naive from their money.
