Transformer Pad TF701T official with NVIDIA Tegra 4 to launch aside Infinity

ASUS has taken the wraps off its new Transformer Pad TF701T, a 10.1-inch Android slate that is very similar to the Transformer Pad Infinity we saw at the beginning of June. With the TF701T model comes an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and a high-resolution IPS display, as well as a metal chassis and SonicMaster audio technology.

The latest Transformer Pad features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a 178-degree viewing angle. As mentioned, there's an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor under the hood with an ARM Cortex-A15 quad-core CPU and a 72-core GeForce GPU. All of this combines — in addition to HDMI connectivity options — into the ability to hand 4K Ultra HD video.

Other particulars include a 5-megapixel camera on the back of the device, as well as a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. The rear camera allows for Full HD 1080p video capture, with no shutter delays and an HDR/intelligent face enhancement for photo snapshots. Added into the mix is SonicMaster audio for what it says is high sound quality.

There's a USB 3.0 slot for use with, among other things, the ASUS Mobile Dock, which offers a full-size keyboard and a multi-touch trackpad. Polaris Office comes pre-installed on the slate, while battery life is pegged at between 13 and 17 hours, depending on usage habits. And rounding it all out is a microSDXC expansion slot.

Also unveiled at the IFA 2013 event was the new MeMO Pad 8 and 10 tablets, both of which are solid mid-range slates with some similar specs, among them being the SonicMaster audio and IPS display (lower resolution though it may be).
