So transcend has a new flash drive, the capacity is 16GB and its being billed as “budget”. I don’t know how much cheaper it will be, but 16GB flash drives are generally not cheap.

Sure you can use them for everything under the sun, including booting OS’s, transferring large files, or even backing up and entire computer, but how practical are they? Regardless, this one has a retractable USB port.

I have no word on price or availability either. However, a quick Google Products search yields a 16GB flash drive from some nameless company for $70, so, I wonder if this drive will be that cheap, or closer to the $120+ price tag of more name-brand drives.
