Touchtable PMP design concept unveiled at Yanko Design

Yanko Design is known for showing off some really cool design concepts of all sorts of devices. An interesting design concept showed up over on the Yanko site recently called the Touchtable. The PMP concept is like a DJ mixer in a portable PMP form factor.

The player features a large controller wheel that wraps around the screen of the PMP. The PMP would be able to control the pitch, timing and position of the track precisely by using the pressure and touch sensitive wheel.

Features include the ability to scratch samples over a track that is playing and it allows the user to mix tracks on the fly. The PMP is designed to look like a DJ turntable at 1:8 scale.
