Toshiba unveils BDX2500 and BDX2700 Blu-ray players

I just mentioned that Toshiba would be adding Blockbuster On Demand streaming access to its latest Blu-ray players called the BDX2500 and the BDX2700. Toshiba is now offering up the full details on both of those Blu-ray players after the Blockbuster announcement landed first.

Both of the players have similar features with support for the Blockbuster service I already mentioned as well as support for Netflix, VUDU, and Pandora. Both models have an Ethernet connection and the 2700 has built-in WiFi. The 2500 needs a separate adapter to connect wirelessly.

Both of the players have full 1080p resolution, support 24fps fame rates, and can upconvert standard DVDs to nearly HD quality. Both of the devices also support content played from SD cads and USB devices. Support for HD sound including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio is offered. Other features include 7.1 audio outputs and BD-Live support. The BDX2500 sells for $179.99 and the BDX2700 goes for $249.99 and both are available now.
