Toshiba Tecra Z40 and A50 laptops aim at business users

Toshiba has unveiled a pair of new notebook computers aimed at small and medium business users. Both of the new computers fit into the Tecra line and include the compact Tecra Z40 and larger Tecra A50. The Tecra Z40 notebook computer has a 14-inch screen and is built using a magnesium alloy Tough Body chassis.

The Z40 is 0.8-inch thick and weighs 3.2 pounds. The machine can be configured with various ports generation Intel Core processors from the i3, i5, and i7 lines. The machine can also be fitted with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD or a 512 GB SSD.

The notebook can also be equipped with a backlit keyboard and both keyboard options are spill resistant. The 14-inch notebook has two display options including a standard HD or HD+ screen. The Tecra A50 is a larger 15.6-inch notebook with HD resolution.

It can be fitted with the same fourth generation Intel processor family and uses Intel HD graphics 4600. The machine can also be fitted with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to a 1 TB hybrid hard drive or a 512 GB SSD. The notebook also includes an integrated DVD drive. Both these computers have memory card readers, integrated Wi-Fi, WebCam, and Bluetooth connectivity. Both notebooks start at $799 and are available to purchase now.
