Toshiba Satellite C655D takes AMD Fusion to 15.6-inches

Toshiba has outed a 15.6-inch notebook running one of AMD's new Fusion APUs. The Toshiba Satellite C655D uses the 1.5GHz single-core AMD E240, paired with up to 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 320GB hard-drive.

There's also a DVD burner and WiFi b/g/n, together with a full-sized keyboard and separate numeric keypad. A webcam and the usual ports round out the key specs. Toshiba estimate up to six hours runtime from a single charge – less than some of the other Fusion APU machines we've seen today, like the HP Pavilion dm1 – but then again it's a bigger machine with a larger screen.

The Toshiba Satellite C655D will be priced at under $400 when it goes on sale later in 2011.
