3840 is 4K. 4K only has 1 significant digit. Just like 2160 is 2K.

Yeah but I guess some brain giants in marketing decided that 3840×2160 was close enough to real 4K to start branding it as that.

Oh well, I still wish I had that TV in my living room.

Wrong, 4K means roughly 4000 pixels wide i.e. the horizontal resolution. Current 1080p HD is almost, but not quite, 2K.

nop 4K means its 4 screens put side by side in this case, its 4 1080p screens put side by side, and when you put them in a widescreen way, you get 3840×2160 (QFHD)

Doesn’t “4K” actually mean that it’s supposed to be over 4000 pixels wide? It was my understanding that this particular resolution was called 2160p, especially as it’s exactly 4x the resolution of a 1080p display.
