There has been a rumor floating around the interweb about a Toshiba HD DVD player that will be sold for $99 with 3 free movies. While the rumor is in fact true, it’s not without a catch.
While you will be able to purchase the HD DVD player for only $99 and get the free movies, you’ll actually have to fork over a lot more money to partake in the deal. Big shocker, huh? Only attendees of the upcoming Home Media Expo in Las Vegas will be able to take advantage of the great deal.
Since you will generally pay more for a ticket to the show, you won’t be saving any money by buying a ticket just to get the deal. However, for those already planning on going, you’ll be able to walk away with a discounted HD DVD player and some free movies.
