Wow. Unbelievable when product people develop new tablets in a vacuum. First, Toshiba develops a tablet made of netbook components- the thickest tablet with the worst battery life, ports you couldn't use, and enough bugs to make Windows Vista users happy.
Toshiba might have been forgiven for having TRIED to do something different and maybe use up excess laptop components.
Their followup is similar to what RIM does-compete with its own legacy product without regard to what the competition is doing. If Toshiba even bothered to look outside in the market, thinner, sleeker at iPad price parity is doomed to failure. (Galaxy 10.1 - ever heard of it?)
Maybe Toshiba should have included a HD DVD drive in the tablet as a differentiator?

I'm getting a job at Toshiba. They clearly do not enforce a drug policy of any kind. How else can explain selling a 10" 16GB tablet at more than an iPad?

Considering the way things are moving, I say good luck with that. Late to the party.

Completely agree, the design is nice but the spec's really are last
gen. As much as I like the design I won't be getting one because of
that but I would have done if it was this years specs, that price and
that design. In fact, if they did that I think they'd be onto a winner
