All tablets whether knowingly or otherwise are trying to compete with the ipad 2. Better specs, size, functionality, apps, appearance, etc, so pricing any tablet at $400 or above ultimately makes consumers rethink their decision to buy. Like me, I thought why spend $400 dollars on a Samsung, Sony, Acer, Asus, or Toshiba when I can spend a mere $99 more and get an ipad2.

I agree with the comments about the performance of the old generation of the TI OMAP processor in comparison to the Tegra 3. If Toshiba has any sense, this tablet can sell if they price it right. The Low $400's for the 16G (or less) because if they attempt to step out at the same price point as the Prime, This tablet unfortunately will be slaughtered. I love the looks of it better than the Prime. But it's all about Bang for you hard earned buck nowadays. I truly hope they price it right. From what I've heard about the 7" Thrives Pricing so far ($400 +) I'm afraid to say this but, it's destined to fail.

What are you, 12? Not everyone is looking for pure power, especially in a tablet. Wait a few months and I'm sure a new, fast processor will come into view. Surprisingly there are people out there that don't have $500 for a tablet. This could be a good option for those people if it hits at the right price.

I bought my Toshiba Thrive about a month after it came out, and I still love it. Being the easiest to use tablet I've come across scored major points in my book.

Holding my breath for a smaller, quad-core, 2GB/DDR3 tablet :(

Props to Toshiba for trying, but what is the point of releasing something that is already obsolete? Perhaps the price will have the drawing power.
