If this Toshiba MID notebook will available at price of $250 than I will really like to buy this gadget. This device has decent battery life for browsing the internet. I hope Toshiba will give the latest version of Android 2.3 and flash support in this.

Perhaps you're right on the printer aspect. However I don't think that will reassure many ex-Windows users. And I'd disagree about the driver situation while on the move; I've plugged Windows 7 and Vista machines into random printers and the generic drivers have, more often than not, proved fine. Maybe that's just my good luck :)

printing is sadly a complex beast, thanks to microsoft allowing companies to put translation "driver" between the printing part of windows and the actual printer. End result is that each brand have their own proprietary way of controlling the printer hardware, rather then using something like postscript (you will probably only find that one in high end printers aimed at creative fields like ads and magazines).

heck, expecting to just plug in any odd printer to your computer while on the go is crazy enough on a windows machine. So saying that should be expect of android is holding it to a higher standard then windows.

and cameras? i thought any sane camera these days behaved like a storage device.
