The solution to both problems has to do withe the current keyboard setting.
Before entering the pin do a ctrl-space, this reverts to the english keyboard, digits do work now (do NOT use shift key).
After this ctrl-space returns to the previous keyboard.

For entering the @ same solution, the @ wit be entered by doing shift-2.

@On7wp for some reason I am unable to enter the Toshiba support forum, and I don't want to create yet another account on yet another website. They should just accept Twitter or Facebook or Google or Windows Live authentication, just like Slashgear does.

Anyway, can you keep me up to date? You have my coordinates, or they should be easy to find if you google me. Meanwhile I googled you - radio amateur and working for the VRT? Cool - chances are that our paths will cross some day, and then we can exchange notes about our cloudbook. :)

unfortunately it does not work and contains even bigger bugs!!!
It is no longer possible to boot a device that has a SIM card on board, as it is impossible to enter the PIN code.
The updated Opera browser crashes almost immediately.
The french keyboard no longer has @ and euro signs so it is no longer possible to mail.
The cursor behaves erratically wen trying to use Google docs.

This is a mega bummer !!!!

Finally, I've been waiting for well over a year for Google to integrate Flash into their Android mobile operating system - without it, I've been unable to access and use many common websites which has been a real pain in the rear. Forcing me to fire up my laptop if I'm on the go, very inconvenient. Glad to hear this latest build will include the much needed Flash integration.
