Torax desk toggles between seated and standing modes

Spend all day at the computer, and worry about what this is doing to your health? Numerous standing desks are available, but the most common issue with them is inconvenience, as many models within most people's budget range are stationary, and must be manually removed from atop a desk when not in use. Torax is a potential alternative, featuring multi-angle adjustments and a low price point.

Torax's best feature is that it can be toggled between a standing mode and a seated model relatively easily, meaning you won't have to store it away when you don't feel like standing. Buttons on the side allow it to be repositioned at a number of heights and angles.

It features a honeycomb design on the sides, which keeps the weight down and gives it a modern look. It is primarily black with red accents. The maker is anticipating 10lbs capacity, which is more than enough to handle laptops and most monitors. It is made with aluminum and plastic parts.

Torax is seeking funding on Kickstarter, where it hopes to raise $225,000 USD in funding, with about $600 already in pledges; 29 days remain in the campaign. Those interested can a super early bird unit for $150, with shipping being estimated to start in February 2016.
