I call BS on Elop. I think he was sent there by MS to bring Nokia to MS, and he has.

Nokia could have taken Android and been THE “vanilla Android” supplier. Shipping the best hardware with a clean Android version, thus rolling out upgrades to their devices asap–that alone would have differentiated them more than anything they can do with WP7. They had better hope Windows 8 is the real deal and crosses from phone to desktop and people still want the proprietary ecosystem, otherwise it’s bye bye Nokia. OH, snap. . . if Win8 is the real deal and everyone jumps on board where does that leave Nokia? A Non-differentiated hardware manufacturer in a sea on non-differentiated hardware manufacturers. Anyway you cut it Nokia will end up in the same place.
