No sight of Series 4 with Tru2way just yet but Tivo has announced a brand new premium DVR that comes with extra large recording capacity at Cedia 2008. The XL size of Tivo HD now featured 1TB of storage space (over 150 hours of HD programs), Glo remote and THX-certified just like the S3.
Like the HD version, it does dual-tuner recordings, supports digital and analog cable and digital and analog antenna. But unlike HD, it’s $300 more at $599. The TiVo HD XL box is immediately available at Tivo online store. Other retailers that will unveil TiVo HD XL as early as next week include Magnolia Home Theater, Amazon, and various other high-end retailers and customer installers.
