Titanfall Xbox 360 release detailed

The final first-wave version of Titanfall is nearly here. It's been confirmed and re-confirmed several times at this point, finally landing on the 8th of April, and today those responsible for its development are speaking up. What we're to understand this week is that the final presentation is really a looker – despite technical limitations.

While the Xbox 360 isn't able to deliver the full-force graphics presentation that the enhanced PC version can, or even the higher-console Xbox One delivery, it will look good. We've been promised.

Daryl Allison, Sr. Producer at Bluepoint Games has spoken up today. Bluepoint Games were commissioned with bringing the game to the Xbox 360 while Respawn Entertainment developed the title for Xbox One and PC. Here near launch, Bluepoint Games has a bit to say.

"Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it, found in the Xbox One and PC versions. The game looks great, sounds great, and above all it plays great. There are of course some technical differences that are due to the technical limitations of the hardware – for example, the game runs above 30fps – but rest assured, the intense 6v6 wall-running, titan dropping action is all there.

We wanted Xbox 360 gamers playing Titanfall at the same time as everyone else, but it needed more time. EA and Respawn made the right call and the extra time has paid off."

So that's 30FPS and a presentation that's suggested to be good. We must assume that your ability to roll out and crush your enemies is still there as most of your power will inevitably come from your connection, and Microsoft's Azure cloud technology has thus far proven itself to keep all pilots in the same position.

For those of you waiting, we'll see you in the game on April 8th, 2014. The Xbox 360 version of the game is set to launch in the United States on that date, and internationally not long after.
