TinyCam gets Android Wear support: surveillance from your wrist

The childhood dream of monitoring camera feeds directly on your wrist watch has finally come to fruition with the introduction of devices like the Moto 360. TinyCam Monitor has received a new update that brings support for Android Wear, allowing those with a related wearable to take a peek through their camera from their watch.

TinyCam is an app that allows someone to monitor IP cameras from their mobile, being used for things like keeping an eye on kids or property. There are two varieties — the Free version and the Pro version — and it is the Pro version that now boasts Android Wear support.

After updating, users can cast the video feed to their Android Wear smartwatch by saying "Cast to Android Wear"; alternatively, they can also say "OK Google. Start TinyCam Monitor" to see the video feed. Using tapping and swiping, one can toggle between different feeds.

It's a simple update, but a big one for users who have fully embraced the existence of wearables. Not familiar with Android Wear? Check out our related tag portal, and hit up the timeline below for other recent news.
