Timex Metropolitan+ watch tracks activity via smartphone app

With the demand for activity tracking booming, more and more folks are buying the devices to wear. Many activity trackers look like bracelets or odd watches and their styling isn't for everyone. Anyone looking for an activity tracker that looks like a normal watch should check out the new Timex Metropolitan+ that was announced this week.

On the outside it looks like a normal watch with an analog face and smaller analog gauges within the face. It comes in silver with a black face and red accents and a black perforated leather strap or a black case and face gift set.

That gift set includes a black silicone band and an orange nylon strap. Both watch styles have quick release straps making it easy to change the strap with a variety of options that Timex offers as an additional purchase. The watch uses Timex INDIGLO night-lights to make the watch face easier to see at night.

Bluetooth tech connects the watch to your smartphone where the activity tracking takes place. The app running on the smartphone will capture steps, distance, and calories burned. Stats can be viewed on the watch dial and the data is stored on the app to check out and compare later. Retail pricing on the silver watch with black leather band is $150 with the black face and dual band gift set selling for $125.
