We have seen plenty of kits for turning the new iPod nano with the touchscreen into a wristwatch. I don’t think any of them have been as cool as the TikTok and LunaTik kits from Scott Wilson. The guy posted his projects over on Kickstarter in an effort to raise the green needed to take the project to the real world.
The TikTok is the more basic of the two kits and has a black silicone band and a face that the nano can be easily removed put in and out of. The cooler of the two kits is certainly the LunaTik. This thing is made from CNC aluminum and makes the nano a semi-permanent watch.
The LunaTik will be offered in silver or red when it finally comes to market. Both of the watch kits leave the controls and ports uncovered and functional. It’s very interesting to me that the project needed $15,000 according to the Kickstarter page to go into production and yesterday when I saw this it had over $75,000. As of today, the product has over $161,000 pledged. That is really cool and a huge amount of money to add overnight.
