It's got a nice look about it, but I like the idea of regular mobile broadband. I signed up with Fuzion Mobile and bought their data stick over their mifi card (it was a tough call) and they aren't a company that has you locked into a contract. I like taking the mobile broadband with me when I'm at my gym and like to work on a few things after I workout because they don't have free wifi there. Convenient. But if for some weird reason, if in the next month or so I feel I will have no need at all for my mobile broadband, I can just not re-up my mobile broadband. That's freedom. I don't see me not needing it though. ;) In any case, I thought I'd at least share that there are companies like Fuzion Mobile Broadband that aren't like others that lock you in for a year or two. Also...their prices are VERY competitive.

It does look pretty nice. Kinda like a cross between Apple and Nintendo design schools.

For now, I see this as more of a niche product. If some carrier out there came out with something where you slotted your phone into it and shared your connection via wifi across all the computers in your home, I suspect the market will open up, simply because people would be able to just have a single account for everything (as opposed to my current situation where I have to pay one ISP for broadband and my carrier for a mobile data plan). That way, you could just plug in your phone to the dock/router while at home and unplug it when you head out Of course, this would only work once carriers stopped imposing anemic data caps and (in the case of US carriers) allowed tethering at no extra cost.
