This isn’t the first water-powered clock to be sold, but it is a lot more attractive than some I have seen. The other one I wrote up over a year ago not only was cheap, but looked it.

Although this one is indeed cheap, it at least has a nice clean look to go with it. To get the clock working you just add water and a dash of salt. The clock has a set of electrodes that then extracts energy from the compound particles in the water.
It doesn’t use any batteries, and will be released for purchase as of August 15 of this year. You can preorder it now for $16.

Is this for real? Have we really made this kind of gadget? This is cool! So scientific and so innovative! I’ll be ordering one for sure.
I hope there will be a Timex version for this clock.
The technology to do this has been around quite a while. The design of these particular gadgets is what sets it apart from all other water clocks. This is very functional and visually interesting. And it comes in 4 different colors.
