Intel is apparently taking the whole UMPC concept very seriously. They’re releasing a new UMPC platform next week at their Intel Developer Forum in Beijing. The video below shows you the direction they are hoping to move the industry to.

It’s really a cool video to watch. I know that the technology to do this stuff is still years away, but it’s awesome. I couldn’t imagine all of my devices actually converging quite like the ones in the video do, but it’s nice to know what Intel is dreaming up.

You never know, maybe Intel has some big announcement up its sleeve for the IDF next week. We’ll be sure to let you know if anything exciting is released.
