A bit of nostalgia for your MP3 player. This faux boom box is a bit of a do-it-yourself project. It’s shipped as flat cardboard with two speakers and two AA batteries. I can’t guarantee that the sound quality will be phenomenal, but it would be a cool desktop speaker system for the cubical.

It looks like it will be pretty light and portable, but don’t take it out into the rain unless you want a soggy boom box. The website says it will work with different MP3 players. I’m assuming it uses a 3.5mm audio jack, so don’t expect it to charge your iPod when not in use.

This cool little speaker station will be released in the UK later this month, and at this time there is no price point. The Card Mini Boom Box is a Suck.UK design, check out their website for a lot of cool, tech inspired gear.
