VOD wont’ kill broadcast TV because there is a certain attraction to live TV programming. I do watch enough TV on my time thanks to VOD. It’s a great time saver and I can easily find a favorite cartoon for the kids or an event that’s happening locally.

I don't watch TV anymore, to me it has become pointless, with all other and beter forms of entertainment, like stumble, games, rss-feeds. My wife is in the transition, she's having great fun playing rock band, and she keeps saying, one more song and then I'm going to watch my favorite episode of X. I have everything going through a PVR (MythTV to be exact) and the idea of waiting for a show to start sounds alien to me.

I think it's a huge improvement, now if someone drops in for a quick visit, there isn't the feeling of, omg I'm missing show x but social time is more important. No, the feeling has changed to "I can always watch X later, so let's have some fun with friends now".

At this point, I don't think any of web video will kill broadcast TV. Here is why, the broadband connection in average US home has not reach it pinnacle yet. Unless every house has 100mbps connection, our cable, satellite box and dish cant be replaced.
