I’m all for people trying to reinvent essential items like the mouse. But if you’re going to release a product, at least make it something you could actually use, not something that just sounds like a good idea on paper.

I’m of course referring to the Finger Mouse from Logisys. Basically, the mouse is a large sensor that you strap to your finger. You control it by moving your hand around and using your thumb to click and scroll. At first this might sound great, but it’s not even wireless. So not only do you have a giant thing strapped to your finger, you’ve got a cord dangling from it as well.
If you’ve managed to look past those annoyances, and you still think you might be interrested, here’s a thought. What do you do when you’re typing?
Finger mouse just doesn’t work for us [via crave]

What is with blogs nowadays? It seems actual reviewing has become a lost art. Instead, bloggers just make snide remarks without ever actually having even touched the product or seen it in person. Anything for page hits, I guess. Makes it damn difficult to find any useful information on the web when blog after blog just plays follow the leader with no real information. “Crave” is a friggin moron and anyone who blindly quotes him is even more of a moron. At least Phoronix actually tested it before coming to conclusions.
