The Xbox has seen a great deal of different mods, however, this is Xbox is an official Microsoft design. It was made as a sign of good will between the United States and South Korea.
Bill Gates and Microsoft have manufactured 100 of these special edition consoles. It features a medium gloss finish and genuine mother of pearl inlays. The design is meant to represent peace, featuring traditional ume blossoms and butterflies.
On May 6th the president of South Korea, Lee Myung-bak, will be receiving one of these gems. It is definitely a much more delicate look than the Xbox is used to.

Cool, millions of people homeless or dead in Burma and China and Mr. Philanthropist jumps in his private jet and delivers an Xbox inlaid with mother-of-pearl to the President of South Korea. Of course, it isn’t the world’s tackiest sales pitch; it’s a symbol of pitch. That’s right, Bill Gates magically transformed a gadget widely associated witih violence – even death – into a peace symbol.
I hope Gates gives a similar gift to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, because I’d love to see what Gates looks like with an Xbox shoved up his ass. Frankly, I think Billy needs therapy.
