Totally! If the yearly reskin of COD and MW is a "game" then Skyrim is a masterpiece. The final company out there which puts some quality and polish into their flagship series. Not toss them out like rags for the mugs and peasents.

I'm sorry but to me Mw3 isn't a video game. I don't hate the COD franchise but what had COD really brought to gaming? Absolutely nothing, and I don't want to hear multiplayer because that really doesn't show innovation in a game. It doesn't show the talent the developer have by bringing something new to the game. It's just the same ole shit from last year, the only thing that changes is the map. I still don't see the difference between mw2 and 3 yet and even though it's clearly obvious, they're really no differences. You can tell they didn't work very hard to do it. Skyrim on the other hand brings a different experience to gaming on such a high scale it disappoints me that people compare it to such mediocre games. Skyrim and mw3 should not even be in the same sentence if you ask me lol

Why split hairs in such a narrow-minded way? Both games belong to totally different genres and have totally different followings. Engaging in a direct comparison is silly. By all accounts, both games have sold exceptionally well.

Rubbish! Banana-Boat Rubbish, I say! That being said, "Skyrim" is one the most well-crafted games to be released this decade. And, it got that way, by listening to it's fans and giving us what we wanted. Which, in turn, led to the game already selling 600% more copies than its predecessor "Oblivion" did in the same time period. ...That would be the "lesson in listening" you might've been referring to.

Daftest article ever doesn't point at anything inconclusive at best.... I hope some editor rereads this article and ask why an incomplete article was published. Worst piece of journalism I have encountered in a while.

The title is actually spot on, it's just that the article doesn't flesh out the thought much. I was expecting to see a focus on how Bethesda listened to the criticism of Elder Scrolls 4 (Oblivion), and in correcting most of the major complaints, were rewarded with excellent sales. Seeing as how that really was the case, I'd say the tagline at least is accurate.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what lesson in listening has done?

I could see that being an accurate title if, say, the PC steam sales of the game were outpacing other purchases, or beat out online sales of BF3 (making the article about EA limiting the delivery playform of BF3 to their own, in-house origin), or if the article contrasted any other type of sales figures where the company did not listen, but... I just don't get it.
