The Assembly trailer shows designed-for-VR Project Morpheus first

There's a game designed by the folks at nDreams called The Assembly being shown off today, one made to take on the PlayStation 4 device Project Morpheus from the start. This game has been designed for virtual reality from the ground up, created by the same people who work on PlayStation Home, a PlayStation 3 game created back in 2008. If you're a fan of PlayStation Home, you'll recognize the look of The Assembly.

First you'll be seeing a demonstration of PlayStation Home as it existed for PlayStation 3 a little under a year ago. This game centers on your personal avatar with lots of customizations that continue to be released through the present.

Next you'll see The Assembly for PlayStation 4 and Project Morpheus. The developers at nDreams have been working on this game since halfway through 2013 when they first got the opportunity to work with Project Morpheus. If you head to The Assembly Game dot com, you'll also find that the crew have worked with Oculus Rift.

This game will work with a number of scientists and engineers experimenting on their fellow humans. These engineers and scientists are not-so-nice opponents of yours "who believe morality in society is preventing scientific advancement and are committed to discovering a universal theory of everything, at any cost."

We're expecting this game to play out like Portal without Portals, or like Half-Life top to bottom. In any case, we're expecting this game to be disturbing.
