Worth Reading?

NoYes

Sony showed off their TP1 at CES earlier this year. It certainly turned some heads with it’s unique new “roll of TP” look. But does the hardware keep pace with the looks?

The only thing that really stands out about this new PC, other than it’s looks, is the inclusion of an HDMI port for hooking it up to your TV. Other than that, it is fairly lack-luster. The biggest concern is the lack of CableCard support.

I think $1600 is a bit steep for a mediocre device such as this. But if you have a living room with lots of round, white objects, it’s a perfect fit.
