I download a demo or purchase a title via PS3′s store. It downloads just fine but then it has to install and that installation process seems to take forever to finish.  
Whereas the Xbox – I download the title (demo or purchase) and simply select that title and I am off and playing. There isn’t any time spent/wasted ‘installing’ the title.

So apparently it doesn’t  “DO EVERYTHING” as advertised. I like the feature and that was one the selling points for playstation plus that was promised early on when it was released. I want to chat with friends while I play! and I’m certainly not the only one thats why it was made such a big deal. It doesn’t matter what kind of game I am playing. Gaming services like Xbox Live and the PSN are all about social interactions with other players or peers. To each their own Richard maybe if you used party chat with your friends you may just see why it is such a popular feature along with other features that justifies the purchase of an xbox live gold subscription. It is much more convenient than having to send text messages through the xmb on the PSN which is very time consuming.

All the 512mb of total ram is accessible to both processors over the Rambus designed Ringbus at far faster speeds. It’s a fully balanced system. Meaning the super fast 256mb XDR capable of running at the same dynamically variable controlled 3.2 to well over 4ghz as what the Cell is run at according to load, temperature, etc (reg’d by eFuse circuits and Ringbus Memory controller). The faster GDDR3 memory is faster than that on the Xbox 360 using direct on die memory controllers as well. This is a full Broadband motherboard, where it takes advanced Ramdacs to keep the diverse array of frequency from disintegrating  any metal on the board.

Far better sound and true 1080p with 3D Stereoscopic Display doubling the output to dual fields means RSX is just a common 7600 GPU like we were led to believe. Because that GPU could do anything that the PS3 is now doing. Sorry buddy….. but Xbox 3fixme is the loser when it comes to graphics detail in games as well and any idiot in their right mind side by side on same games will pick the PS3 every time if given the blind choice as to which is better!!!

But then I began to see it’s limitations when I bought an Xbox 360. The PS3 is just terribly slow thanks to the geniuses at Sony that decided to give the system 256MB of RAM. The Xbox 360 just seems zippy in comparison to the PS3 I don’t have to wait for example a game to download then install. or if your in a game to send a text message because the PS3 can’t handle party chat. Often the XMB menu just crawls at a snails pace when you try to access it from within a game. Don’t get me wrong it is still a great gaming machine but only for PS3 exclusives like Uncharted, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone, God of War and others. I hope that this issue is addressed with the next console Sony releases. They already made it possible with the new vita hand held device. I just wish that the PS3 had more ram then it wouldn’t be so sluggish.
