Thanko Wii TV stand - might be the first truly useful product to come from Thanko

Thanko, a company know for making weird ass gadgets that are only useful to a few, if anyone at all, may have made a product that would be useful to a lot of people. It's a motorized TV stand.

Sure its not the first, but it could be the first that's even remotely affordable. It was designed with the intention of making playing your Wii a lot easier by putting the TV at eye level so you don't have to look down the whole time you are playing, and then being able to lower it back down to a comfortable viewing height.

It will cost you nearly $700 US and can hold TV's weighing up to 110 pounds and up to 60-inches in size. Even if you don't own a Wii, this could be a cheap alternative to one of those TV's that raise up from the foot of your bed.
